I really wish the word “winsome” would work its way back into our vocabulary; it seems it was all over in earlier books!
It is a nice word, isn’t it? I actually just read a book with a character called Winsome.
By any chance was it a Jane Abbott book? (I can’t remember the title off the top of my head.)
No, it was by Etta Anthony Baker. It…doesn’t really work. I could see Jane Abbott pulling it off, though.
